We scoured the internet, entered stores across two continents, tried tens of shoes, tied countless laces, and worn out our own shoes and patience desperately trying to find a decent alternative to Altra Youth.

Every time, our child complained, kicking off every pair…or, the worst of all – showed interest, tested the shoe, and simply rejected the shoe with cold hearted indifference.

Arriving home, at the risk of combustible rage - mentioning the word “shoe” was banned for 24 hours.

But right before we gave up hope, we were smacked with a revelation: why not just bring back the same toe-freeing, health-boosting, and unbelievably comfortable shoes our child loves and see if others want it too.
